Chris Calder will tell the fascinating story of two remarkable Tullibody men – William Burns Paterson and John McGilchrist (Mac). Paterson emigrated to the USA and eventually founded what became Alabama State University, while McGilchrist was a trainee architect and artist who finished his training in Pittsburgh, then returned to the UK on the outbreak of WWI to join the army.
